4 Days Lobolo & Central Island N. Parks Itinerary

Day 01

Fly to Turkana, pick up and transfer to Lobolo Camp on the shore of Lake Turkana. Lunch en route or at the camp. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 02

Mini breakfast and thereafter a cultural visit to a Turkana village or homestead and return to camp for a sumptious breakfast. In the afternoon leave by boat to Central Island National Park ( A UNESCO World Heritage Site) which is a unique breeding site for the Nile crocodile and hosts in season juvenile flamingoes. Enjoy a sundowner of flaming splendour and dinner, overnight in a fly-camp on the island.

Day 03

Arise early 6H00, have tea, coffee and biscuits and take a short boat ride to the start point of our walk to the Flamingo Crater Lake, which in season is a breeding site for flamingo. Thereafter return to the boat for a short boat ride to to where we start our walk to the Crocodile Crater Lake, a breeding site for the Nile Crocodile. Return to the camp for full breakfast, siesta and lunch, then boat back to Lobolo Camp for sundowner and experience a Turkana cultural dance, followed by dinner. Overnight at the camp.

Day 04

Breakfast at leisure. Explore the Lobolo oasis. Transfer to your departure point.
